Fittings

Since we are not tied to any one manufacturer we are able source the best mechanism and fittings for our folding doors and sliding doors. We specify the system most suited to your requirements.

We usually source our folding door and sliding door systems from Brio who use 316 cast stainless steel extensively together with stainless steel bearings and architectural grade stainless steel components. Brio also passivate all visual stainless steel surfaces and electro-polish all cast stainless components to remove contaminants. All aluminium on the folding doors is anodised to marine grade 25 microns.

Components are put through type testing in excess of 100,000 cycles and also undergo extensive salt spray chamber corrosion testing.

The folding door hardware has been tested to withstand driving rain equivalent to 98km/hr and winds up to 232 km/hr.

The folding doors also have the option of mortice hinges as an upgrade. These hinges are rebated into the timber and have been designed with radius corners. Since they are rebated they provide both greater security and are also stronger as they rely less on the integrity of the timber or strength of the screws.

Both the folding door and sliding door fittings have built-in adjustment mechanisms. This ensures that panels can be easily adjusted so that they open and close with the optimum ease and efficiency and the minimum of fuss.
